Tebuireng.online- The Branch Leaders (PC) of the Nahdlatul Ulama Student Association (IPNU) and the Tuban Regency Nahdlatul Ulama Female Student Association (IPPNU) held Main Cadre Training (LAKUT). The agenda for the highest cadre formation at branch level, which carries the theme of the essence of integrity, was officially opened in the Hall of the Nahdlatul Ulama Islamic Institute (IAINU) Tuban, Wednesday (15/07/2026).
This activity was attended by 22 participants who were a combination of internal Tuban Regency cadres and external participants who came from various surrounding areas. For five full days, from 15 to 19 July 2026, participants will be trained through a series of intensive training accompanied directly by a team of instructors from the Regional Leadership (PW) of IPNU and IPPNU East Java.
Various strategic materials were presented in the training as concrete provisions for student cadres. The material discussed includes the concept of modern leadership, deepening the ideology of Nahdlatul Ulama, the basic principles of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah (Aswaja), organizational management, and analysis of social dynamics in order to answer challenges in social life.
The main difference in the implementation of LAKUT this period is the special emphasis on strengthening cadre ideology. The committee deliberately dissected two monumental books by Hadratussyaikh KH. Muhammad Hasyim Asy’ari, namely the Minutes of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah and Qanun Asasi. These two great works are used as the main reference to strengthen understanding of Aswaja An-Nahdliyah’s ideology, which is considered very strong and remains relevant in responding to the challenges of the times.
The Chair of the LAKUT Committee, Pekan M. Nuril Qolbi, explained that the use of the two NU founding books was aimed at providing a strong ideological foundation for the cadres before they entered further into society. Apart from that, participants were also invited to understand how to manage an organization based on KH’s basic thoughts. Muhammad Hasyim Asy’ari as a form of service to the people, as well as placing an understanding of sunnah and heresy proportionally.
“We hope that the participants will not only understand these values theoretically or verbally, but will also be able to implement them in their daily lives. In this way, Nahdlatul Ulama student cadres can truly be present and provide real benefits to society,” said Colleague M. Nuril Qolbi, Wednesday.
Through the implementation of this Main Cadre Training, PC IPNU-IPPNU Tuban Regency is optimistic that it can produce a new generation of leaders who have high integrity. It is hoped that the combination of modern organizational knowledge and ideological strength that comes directly from the books of Islamic boarding school kiai will be able to produce cadres who are ready to carry out their mandate and make a real contribution to the progress of Nahdlatul Ulama, the nation and civilization.
